Financial operations group

The Financial Research and Operations group works extensively with
portfolio managers, traders, quantitative and qualitative analysts,
accountants, operations personnel, tax specialists, and treasury
professionals to provide accounting and settlement support to the
group's global investment activities. Staff also participates in the
development of the group's investment strategies, analyses financial
data, carries out detailed company and sector analysis, creates and
maintains large databases, analyses capital allocation and optimization
processes, creates reports, analyses money movement, and executes
special research projects. The group supports an extensive range of
mission-critical processes, and works closely with the technology group
to effect trade execution, settlement automation, and exception
analysis.



Role:

· Responsible for divisions controlled framework,
encompassing integrity of G/L, management balance sheet, valuation
risk,capital allocation.

· Leads Global finance for the creation of derivatives,
middle office function, comprising trade capture, P&L production and
validation and revenue reporting.

· Work on automation efforts, driving from the business side
- personal involvement ,Process definition

· Monitoring intraday positions of all trading members
vis-Ã -vis market variance; involved in confirmation and settlement of

Desired Profile:

1. Should have 10 + years experience in US/Europe/Middle east
financial markets or back office operations of a large financial
services company

2. Indepth knowledge in derivative instruments

3. Should have played a major role in streamlining the operational
functions to strengthen automated systems

Must have:

* Product Knowledge

* Knowledge of back office operations (important of how various groups
interact)

* Understanding of a control perspective, needs, etc from a product side
(separation of duties, etc.) For instance a CA background would be good
but not required

* Ability to set goals for both long and short term (and demonstrated
experience doing so)
